Lucia Magney
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Lucia Magney is responsible for daily operations, communications, public relations, ticket sales, grant writing and other fund-raising activities. She can also be heard leading the cello section at St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra concerts.
Ms. Magney has been the Executive Director of the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra for 17 years. She teaches Cello and String Methods at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University where she has been a faculty member since 1990. Ms. Magney is Assistant Principal Cellist of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra. She holds degrees from the University of Minnesota and Manhattan School of Music where she was a student of Bernard Greenhouse.
In her leisure time Lucia enjoys sailing, kayaking, and relaxing at her cabin up north.
